Kevin Brody, AMFT

We live in complex, often disheartening times. Pursuing meaning, support, and growth can feel overwhelming amidst our day-to-day responsibilities. If you’re looking for a place to sort things out and you’d like to be accompanied compassionately by someone who shows up authentically and empathetically (tattoos, occasional cursing, and all) I hope you’ll reach out. While I love talking grief/death/loss/existential depression, my work is open to anyone who might resonate with my offerings, and I am excited to work with folks on whatever they may bring.

I offer existential, relational, trauma-informed, and compassionate psychotherapy. My work is built around the idea that authentic relationships and acceptance/validation of our identities create fertile ground for growth, change, and (with any luck) healing. My approach is active, collaborative, and humorous/playful (when appropriate and comfortable!).

I am personally oriented toward social justice and recognizing the impact of capitalism on relationships. I am a sex-positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist with experience working in LGBTQIA+ crisis services, crisis housing, and psychiatric facilities. More important than all of that, though, is that I’m a human trying to sort it all out, just like you.
