Kevin Brody

We live in complex, often disheartening times. Pursuing meaning, healing, and growth can feel overwhelming amidst our day-to-day responsibilities. Navigating grief, death, loss, and existential despair can feel impossible as our shared world buzzes with relentless motion and change, and as oppressive systems feel difficult to budge. If you’re looking for a place to sort things out, to explore your grief, to navigate existential issues, or if you’d simply like to be accompanied compassionately by someone who shows up authentically and empathetically (tattoos, occasional cursing, and all) I hope you’ll reach out.

I offer existential, relational, trauma-informed, compassionate psychotherapy, often (but not necessarily) focused on grief, loss, death, bereavement, depression, and existential issues. My approach is active, collaborative, and humorous/playful (when appropriate and comfortable!). Other clinical interests: Alzheimer’s, systemic oppression, anti-capitalism.

I am personally oriented towards social justice and recognizing the impact of capitalism on relationships. I am a sex-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming therapist with experience working in LGBTQ+ crisis services, crisis housing, and psychiatric facilities. More important than all of that, though, is that I’m a human trying to sort it all out, just like you.
