21st-century life is complex. Our shared world buzzes with relentless motion and change, while oppressive systems often feel fixed and difficult to budge. Pursuing meaning, healing, and growth can feel overwhelming amidst our day-to-day responsibilities. My work is built on the belief that authentic relationships are nourishing and help illuminate purpose in our lives. If you’re looking for a place to sort things out, or if you’d like to be accompanied compassionately by someone who shows up authentically and empathetically (tattoos, occasional cursing and all) I hope you’ll reach out.
I offer relational, trauma-informed, compassionate psychotherapy. My approach is active, collaborative, and humorous/playful (when appropriate and comfortable!). My specialties/clinical interests include: grief/loss/death, depression, Alzheimer’s/dementia, caregiving, existential issues, identity, systemic oppression, self-compassion, and relationships.
I am personally oriented towards social justice and recognizing the impact of capitalism on relationships. I am a sex-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming therapist with experience working in LGBTQ+ crisis services, crisis housing, and psychiatric facilities. More important than all of that, though, is that I’m a human trying to sort it all out, just like you.
