I believe true healing begins when we embark on a journey towards Holistic Wellness, our need to have balance in our mind, body, and spirit. Through a holistic and integrated perspective, I provide therapy that assists others in how they view and approach the many challenges that life can throw. My focus is working with People of Color, Trauma, Chronic Pain, Anxiety, Depression, and both Intergenerational and transgenerational challenges. I will bring intention and attention to our work through a vessel of transparency, empathy, compassion, connection, and spirituality to empower you to be fully aware of where you are and what you need.

Counselor-in-Residence

As a foster youth alumnus and survivor of sexual trauma, I had to choose between continuing the harmful coping and patterns that were negatively impacting my well-being or breaking free from the generational cycle of trauma that I found myself living. I chose the latter and believe my life experiences can provide resonance, a helpful tool in providing empathy which is important for every journey towards healing. My passion is working with people of color and trauma survivors to break cycles of transgenerational trauma to create new paths, traditions, and coping strategies for a healthy well-being. Understanding that therapy does not have a one-size-fits-all approach, I am adaptive to each client’s needs and goals. My approach is of a strength-based nature using mindfulness and relational therapy techniques, interwoven with threads of narrative therapy. “Your healing is in your hands” – India.Arie

I believe the questions we ask can sometimes reveal more than the answers we seek. Through slow and gentle exploration, we will work together to bring non-judgmental awareness to the entirety of your experience – mind, body and heart. In my practice, I focus on cultivating curiosity, compassion, complexity and joy, honoring what’s working, and developing more ease and empathy for ourselves and others. As a human, in the therapy space and in the world, I am a combination of grounded and idealistic. I’m comfortable in the grey space. I value embodiment and want to live in a world that leads with empathy. My areas of interest include supporting clients’ mindfulness practice, grief and loss, parenting support, relationships, and life transitions. Together we can collaborate to find ways to stay connected to hope and each other, to laugh, and to keep moving with and through. One breath at a time.

For these reasons, my focus areas are People of Color, Intergenerational Trauma, Chronic Illness, and Community Organizing.

I specialize in couples work, sexual issues, trauma, and in Brainspotting where I am working towards certification. I have a collaborative approach with a body-centered awareness to our work in the therapeutic room. Couples work is done with a goal of helping you both to better attend to each other’s needs. As a Filipino-American, I celebrate the intersectionality that I myself experience. Immigrants can live with a multiplicity of diversity issues. I am interested and have first hand knowledge in helping the LGBT community, especially those coming out of the Church, the closet, and reparative therapy.

Counselor-in-Residence

My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity and non-judgment, incorporating embodiment, mindfulness, and humor. In our work together, we will explore what an experience of wholeness and embodiment feels and looks like for you, collaboratively strengthening the muscles of self-soothing and self-accountability. Our work will also bring particular awareness to reconnecting the mind to the messages of the body and to the rhythms of nature. I have particular experience working with compulsive behaviors, life transitions, relationship to food, body image, spiritual exploration, and the Highly Sensitive (HSP). For couples, we will address challenges collaboratively, establishing effective tools and skills to communicate boundaries and needs, and deepen intimacy.
